It's a Friday afternoon and I was very much looking forward to getting out of work and onto Hayley's very comfy sofa. I feel I should try and explain the journey I have to take to get to the comfy sofa though as it was long and treturous. However, firstly a bit of background info on the sofa itself;
- It's leather
- It's black
- It's comfort level is around 6/10 (This goes up the more tired you are).
- Start in a Bolton Industrial Estate
- 25minute walk to train station (1 road = very boring)
- 10 minute wait for train
- Get on train, 15 minute ride amoungst a mix of people coming home from work, going for a night out (It's Friday) and holiday goers off to the airport... This means cramped, hot and loud. I read a book (Life, the Universe and Everything by Dougless Adams) to get away from being cramped, noise and sweaty fat people with kids.
- I then get off the train and its raining, and I mean RAINING. Luckily I have an umbrella with me, but its RAINING so hard that my jeans still get soaked.
- I wait 5 minutes for a bus under a shelter (I believe these are called 'Bus Shelters')...
- 13 minute bus ride untill *BING*, "thanks driver" *SHWOOSH*
- 2 minute walk to Hayley's door...
- 10 seconds to Hayley's (black, leather, comfy) sofa!
Ahhh, "pizza tonight?"... "ok". (photo to come)
For our conveniance the TV happens to be sitting in a way that is very easy to see when your sat at on the Sofa, so the next part of the story is all about the TELEVISION MACHINE.
We watched a few old episodes of Friends whilst waiting for our pizza to arrive. We love friends, its like a comfort thing... with Friends on the TV nothing can go wrong and it will make everything seem fine and dandy.
Pizza arrives!!!
Now this happened by chance - we we're flicking through some different channels, and what pops onto the screen? Only Madness at (some) Festival! Ooooooo Could this be love love love?
Oh yes, the flannels, well it got a little hot later on when trying to sleep... So I have a Hayste top tip for everyone reading this; that is, wet a flannel with cold water and stick it on your head. thats right. Another way would be to stick your wrists under a cold tab... works a treat.
